Ron Bauer established R.B. & Associates in April 1980 and incorporated as
R B & Associates Land Surveyors, Inc in 2004. Ron has been active with the
Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association for over 30 years, holding almost every office in the local chapter; currently serving on the Northeast Chapter’s legislative committee and on state level committees.

We have completed over 14,000 surveys of all sizes, from simple Lot Surveys to complex Topographic and ALTA Land Title Surveys. Our cemetery mapping meets the new Illinois State Cemetery Regulations.
The Cemetery Oversight Task Force, appointed by the governor,
subpoenaed Ron to testify on the capabilities
of database programs and how they can be partnered with GIS technology.
His testimony helped form the Illinois Cemetery Statutes enacted in May 2010.

Computer mapping has been provided for community fire protection districts to enhance 911 dispatching. Our mapping for school districts included researching school district and voting district boundaries. Large wall maps and indexes were provided depicting attendance centers.

For many years, we have interacted with the local vocational school to provide instruction through CAD projects and job internships. Students learn some basic survey criteria which can be helpful in purchasing or building a home,
and possibly in their chosen profession.
